Brewers Top Cards 5-4 On Opening Day

(Milwaukee) The Milwaukee Brewers opened the 2019 season with a 5-4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals this afternoon at Miller Park. Christian Yelich hit a three-run homer, Mike Moustakas had a solo shot and starting pitcher Jhoulys Chacin went deep for Milwaukee. He gave up three runs over five-and-a-third innings and Josh Hader pitched two scoreless innings in relief. Kolten Wong hit a pair of homers for St. Louis. Lorenzo Cain rob a potential game-tying home run from Jose Martinez in the ninth inning.  The Opening Day sellout crowd was announced at 45-thousand-304 fans.
