(Madison) State Representative Mark Born was recently recognized by the Wisconsin Counties Association. The Association gave the Beaver Dam Republican an Outstanding Legislator Award for his work on behalf of county government during the 2023-2024 Legislative session.
The award is handed out biennially to a select group of legislators who have represented county interests in both the legislature and in their districts. These legislators have demonstrated leadership for counties on key issues, legislation and the state budget.
WCA President and CEO Mark O’Connell says in his role as co-chair of the Joint Committee on Finance, Born has been a tremendous leader and partner with counties.
The Wisconsin Counties Association represents the interests of county government on the state and federal levels.
