Born Looks Ahead, Barudin Offers Congratulations

(Beaver Dam) Representative Mark Born has been elected to a fourth term in the state assembly. The Beaver Dam Republican won roughly 63-percent of the vote in the contest with Democratic challenger Elisha Barudin, also of Beaver Dam. Once the race was called, Born thanked the support of voters and the hard work from his campaign staff. Born says during the upcoming legislative session he will focus on transportation funding, health care access and the next state budget.

In a statement, Barudin congratulated Born, thanked her team, the Democratic Party of Dodge County and those who supported her along the campaign trail. She added that she will continue to involve herself as a community servant in order to take on important issues towards bettering the education system, environment and health care rights.
