(BEAVER DAM) Beaver Dam’s newest alder is now running for state Senate. Jeff Bierman works at the Walmart distribution center. He was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Common Council in December.
Bierman said he is running as an independent to work for high-speed internet, affordable child care, and affordable housing.
“We want our young people to stay in this district and work. This is where they were born and raised. They need to have the American dream just like everybody else.”
Republican John Jagler represents the 13th District. Democrat Sasha Ripley has also declared her candidacy. The election is Nov. 3.
