(BEAVER DAM) Beaver Dam’s new city administrator has been on the job for a little more than a month. Larry Bierke told Daily Dodge he sees a lot of potential here for economic development.
“The flat land in some areas makes it pretty substantial when it comes to development opportunities. We have a significant number of interchanges and access to Highway 151, which also makes us a very attractive community for development. For those reasons, I think Beaver Dam’s got a very bright future.”
Since Beaver Dam moved to a part-time mayor form of government, the city administrator has been responsible for managing the city’s day-to-day operations.
According to the City of Beaver Dam website, the administrator facilitates relationships between the Common Council and city staff, oversees planning and development, as well as the annual budget. The city administrator also promotes community engagement and coordinates legislative and legal matters with the city attorney.
