(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam yard waste drop-site is now open with a new entrance. Officials with the city’s Department of Public Works say, as of Friday, the site will be open Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm. Saturday hours will remain the same, from 8am to noon through November 23rd.
The entrance to the site, which had been located on South Center Street, will now be at 205 West South Street – the former parks building entrance.
Officials note that the site can be accessed on holidays that land on weekdays.
The drop-off site is for Beaver Dam residents only. No contractors are allowed to dispose of any materials and dumping illegal items is not permitted.
If this does occur, DPW officials say the yard site will return to manned hours only. They add that the premises are under video surveillance.
