Beaver Dam Wins Badgerland Finale While Randolph Suffers Tough Loss

The Beaver Dam Badgerland baseball team used a six run third inning to help finish off their summer season with an impressive 9-5 win over Portage at the BDSH Diamond.  It was another big day for Braden Franke on the mound and at the plate.   Franke pitched four innings, striking out six and giving up four runs and six hits to earn the win and he went 3×4 at the plate with three RBI and a run scored. Wesley Biel also went 3×4 with an RBI and a run scored.  Alex Sota, Adam Chase, Eli Wilke and Griffin Wicklund also drove in runs for Beaver Dam who banged out eleven hits on the night.   With the win, Beaver Dam ends the year on a two-game win streak and finished up with a 7-5 record.

 

Laconia 13 Randolph 8

Randolph jumped out to an 8-0 lead after three innings but ended up falling to Laconia 13-8 on Tuesday night.  Mason Westra drove in a pair to lead the Randolph offensive attack while Caleb Kookier went 2×3.  Caden Spors and Kenton Regnerus pitched well, despite being hung with seven unearned runs.  Randolph will wrap up their season on Thursday night in Fond du Lac against St. Mary’s Springs.
