(BEAVER DAM) The City of Beaver Dam has temporarily suspended the permit for Kirby vacuum sales after several residents complained about door-to-door solicitors.
According to the Beaver Dam Police Department, Kirby’s Transient Merchant (Direct Seller’s) Permit is on hold while the city schedules a hearing to decide whether to revoke it permanently.
Until then, anyone selling Kirby vacuums in Beaver Dam is not allowed to go door to door. Police said any further sales activity would violate city ordinances and could lead to citations.
Residents who are contacted by someone claiming to sell Kirby vacuums are asked to call the department’s non-emergency number at 920-887-4612.
