(Beaver Dam) Beaver Dam’s Summer Concert Series returns to Swan Park Tuesday. The June 19th performance will feature the Elwood Lee Trio, a 1970’s through the 2010 guitar-bass-drums combo.
There will also be free activities before the live music begins including crafts, face painting, giant games, and bags. Activities for all ages run from 6pm to 8pm and the live music starts at 7:30pm. This year’s concert series will also highlight an effort to renovate the bandshell and amphitheater seating.
Beaver Dam City Administrator Nathan Thiel says, “the Swan Park Advisory Committee will also highlight the bandshell and amphitheater seating renovation with a goal to raise $500,000 for the project during this year’s summer concert series.”
Thiel notes that the project will likely cost roughly $1.5-to-2-million-dollars with grant dollars and previous fundraising efforts being utilized to help close the financial gap.
