(Beaver Dam) The process continues for finding new leadership in the Beaver Dam Fire Department. Chief Alan Mannel retired in mid-April. Six weeks later, Deputy Chief Matt Christian retired. While there is no formal interim chief in place, PFC Chair Jeff Kohman says Captain Lee Smith is overseeing operations. The city’s Police and Fire Commission held a special, closed session meeting last (Thursday) night but took no action. The PFC plans to meet again Tuesday.
