Beaver Dam Softball Faces Sun Prairie In State Quarterfinals

The Beaver Dam High School softball team is the #7 seed and will face #2 Sun Prairie on Monday at 8am in a WIAA Division One Quarterfinal at Bay Port High School.
The Badger North champion Beaver Dam Golden Beavers (18-3) will be making their fourth ever trip to the WIAA State Softball Tournament and their first since 2004.   BDHS also qualified for state in 1993 and 1998.   Sun Prairie (21-3) shared the Big Eight Conference championship with Verona.  The Cardinals will be making their 7th trip to the state tournament.  They were the state runner-up in 2019 and won the WIAA Division One state championship in 2018.  The 2020 softball season was cancelled because of COVID-19.
A predetermined, limited allotment of tickets has been provided to BDHS and will be offered to the participants’ families first.  All remaining tickets will be sold to the public on Sunday, June 27 at Beaver Dam High School from 1-2pm.  Tickets are $11/person for all patrons over 2 years old.  There will not be tickets available for purchase onsite at the tournament.  Games will be live streamed on the NFHS network for a fee; the link can be found on the WIAA website.
The team will depart Beaver Dam on Sunday, June 27 at 6pm from the softball diamond.  For those willing and able, please help us line McKinley and Gould Streets on the high school property wearing your green and gold to send them off.  Signs, noise makers, thundersticks, pom poms etc. are all allowed.
You will be able to listen to the game live on 1430 WBEV and DailyDodge.com.
