Beaver Dam Small Businesses Encouraged To Take Part In Development Consultations

(Beaver Dam) Local small businesses are encouraged to sign up for an upcoming opportunity at the Beaver Dam Chamber to receive counseling from an industry professional. The Chamber of Commerce is hosting small business development center office hours. Chamber President Tracy Propst says they have partnered with UW-Whitewaterโ€™s Small Business Development Center to offer this consultation with the community.

โ€œI have asked them to come and do local business hours because itโ€™s tough for business peopleโ€ฆespecially small businesses to get away and do consulting in Whitewater,โ€ says Propst. โ€œSo they have been coming up about once every six weeks and the next time Ron Chisholm, heโ€™s the director at the Small Business Development Center at UW-Whitewater, is going to be here on August 24th.โ€

Propst says you can book an appointment on the Chamberโ€™s website.

โ€œIf you go to the Beaver Dam Chamber websiteโ€ฆunder community calendar and look under August 24thโ€ฆyou can actually book an appointment through [Chisholm],โ€ says Propst. โ€œSo, our tax dollars are paying for these Small Business Development Centers. This is free consulting, free adviceโ€ฆno matter what questions you may have.โ€

Propst adds that the Small Business Development Center helps entrepreneurs succeed at any age. Thirty-minute consultation appointments are available between 1pm and 5pm on August 24th.
