(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Police Department is investigating a shooting death. Authorities responded to a 9-1-1 call on the 300 block of East Third Street Saturday at 2:42pm. Police Chief John Kreuziger says the caller reported that there was a shooting inside the home. When officers arrived, they located a deceased female. A male inside the home was taken into custody without incident. Kreuziger is not calling the incident a homicide at this point saying instead the shooting is being investigated as a suspicious death with a firearm. He says there is no other threat to the public at this time. The Beaver Dam Police Department is investigating with assistance from the Dodge County District Attorney’s Office, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation Evidence Response Team, the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Dodge County Emergency Response Team.
