Beaver Dam School Teacher Wins Grammy Trip On Ellen

(Beaver Dam) A teacher at Prairie View Elementary School in Beaver Dam is going to the Grammy Awards this weekend after winning two tickets on a daytime talk show. ย Gerryanne Schwanke and her sister-in-law Kristen Schwanke were in Los Angeles for Mondayโ€™s taping of the Ellen DeGeneres Show, which aired on Tuesday. The two competed for the Grammy tickets against another couple in a game called โ€œBlame That Tune.โ€ Gerryanne had to wear headphones and a plastic brace-like device was inserted in her mouth that prevented her from moving her lips. She then had to sing four songs to her sister-in-law who had to guess each song. Gerryanne sang the songs โ€œLook What You Made Me Do,โ€ โ€œBaby,โ€ โ€œHavana,โ€ and โ€œMilkshake.โ€ย  In addition to tickets, Ellen provided Gerryanne and Kristen with roundtrip airfare, and hotel accommodations. Beaver Dam Schoolโ€™s Superintendent Mark DiStefano says anyone who has worked with Gerryanne knows that she is intelligent and talented but he says her performance on Ellen shined a whole new light. The 60th Annual Grammy Awards will be aired this Sunday on CBS beginning at 6:30pm.
