(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam School Board unanimously approved the district’s safety drills report. Board member Marge Jorgensen was pleased with the results.
“I’m really impressed,” said Jorgensen. “I mean, you know it’s a tough thing to think about that you might have a chance when your school would have some violence in it, whether an active shooter or something like that.”
Jorgensen says that she is amazed by how the students and staff know where to go and how to act in the potential scenario. Isaac Dornfeld was also impressed with the report.
“On top of what Marge said, in your report, it sounds like the response times have improved as far as, you know, getting locked down and out of the way, stuff like that. So that’s good.”
The report was done by the district’s Facilities and Safety Officer Pete Woreck.
