(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam School Board recently approved the renewal of the girl’s hockey co-op team with the addition of Waupun. Beaver Dam is currently in a partnership with Dodgeland, Horicon, Columbus, Mayville, and Wayland Academy. Associate Principal of Activities and Athletics Ryan Gerber says Waupun currently goes to Fond du Lac to play.
Gerber says it would help the team starting next year and beyond. He adds that the addition of Waupun is considered (quote) “new” by the WIAA.
Since this story was published, Waupun decided withdraw their proposal for a co-op and Waupun stated that none of their youth girls hockey players have played in BD in recent history.
