(Beaver Dam) The city of Beaver Dam has released a public transit survey. The survey is in connection with a feasibility study that will help inform city leaders of potential changes to the transit options. It also supports the Community Action Plan effort, which is driven by community member volunteers to develop recommendations for improving Beaver Dam.
City Administrator Nathan Thiel says getting community feedback is an important part of the transit study.
โPerhaps the survey might be able to revealโฆโhey, we would be interested in a different timeโโฆorโฆโthis is how much Iโm willing to pay for a fixed routeโฆthis is how much Iโm willing to pay with door-to-door serviceโโฆthereโs some nuances there that hopefully this survey will help to highlight.โ
In January, the Beaver Dam contracted with SRF Consulting Group to conduct the transit study. Since then, SRF has evaluated current demand for the shared ride taxi program and met with multiple community members and organizations to discuss needs.
