Beaver Dam, Protect Wisconsin Waterways Plan Volunteer Clean Up Event

(BEAVER DAM) Volunteers will have the opportunity to clean up a local waterway. The city of Beaver Dam, Rock River Stormwater Group, Protect Wisconsin Waterways, and UW-Whitewater students are hosting a river clean-up event September 20th.

The local waterway clean-up event also coincides with the start of the second annual statewide Wisconsin Stormwater Week and National Clean Up Day. Beaver Damโ€™s clean-up will start at Edgewater Park.

Those who volunteer will pick up trash and help revitalize the Rock River watershed in Beaver Dam. The Rock River is a 284-mile river that encompasses many local communities and has become a staple of Wisconsinโ€™s waterway system.

Those interested in participating can sign up online and meet at Edgewater Park at 10am. Click HERE to register.
