Beaver Dam Police Arrest Possible Stalker Following High Speed Chase

(Beaver Dam) Beaver Dam Police arrested an Indiana man following a high speed chase Wednesday afternoon. Just after 12pm, a woman called into 911 while driving and reported that she was being followed by unknown vehicle for several miles. The complainant was given instructions by the Dodge County Dispatch Center to give her location and drive to the Beaver Dam Police Department for safety.

A Beaver Dam officer then spotted the two vehicles along South Spring Street near the Tower parking lot and attempted to stop them. The complainant stopped but the suspect driver refused and fled the area. The officer kept pursuit of the vehicle which travelled through several city streets and continued to South Beaver Dam, then east along County Highway S. The vehicle eventually stopped just short of tire deflation devices.

The driver, a 25-year-old man with an Indiana address, was apprehended. Authorities requested charges through the Dodge County District Attorney’s Office for felony Fleeing, Resisting and several traffic citations. No officers were injured and there was no damage to any vehicles. The Beaver Dam Police Department was assisted by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Juneau EMS.

On Wednesday, August 26th at approximately 12:03 PM a complainant called 911 and reported that she was travelling in her vehicle and had been followed by an unknown person in a vehicle for several miles.  The complainant was given instructions by the Dodge County Communications Center Dispatcher to give her location and to drive to the Beaver Dam Police Department for safety.  A Beaver Dam Police Officer spotted the two vehicles along S. Spring Street near the Tower parking lot and attempted to stop them by utilizing emergency lights.  The complainant stopped but the suspect driver fled the area and refused to stop.  The suspect vehicle continued to elude the officer at high speeds.

The officer kept in pursuit of the vehicle that was disobeying the officer to stop.  A pursuit along several city streets led to a continued pursuit South of the city, and then East along County Highway S, until the vehicle stopped just short of tire deflation devices.  The driver, a 25-year-old male with an Indiana address was apprehended and will be requested for the charges of Knowingly Fleeing an Officer, and Resisting an Officer, as well as several speed and stop violations in the city.  No Officers were injured and there was no damage to any vehicles.
