(Beaver Dam) With garage sale season here, Beaver Dam officials are reminding residents of how not to place their signs. Department of Public Works Supervisor Dan Mulhern says that it is a violation of city ordinance to place signs in the public street terrace between the sidewalk and the street.
He adds that it is also a violation to place them within approximately 15 feet from the edge of the street where no sidewalks exists. Signs cannot be placed on streetlights, sign posts, utility poles.
Violations of the city ordinance will result in enforcement action. Mulhern says that the cooperation of all citizens is requested and appreciated.
