Beaver Dam Man Convicted In Underage Sex Sting

(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam man arrested for soliciting sex from a minor in an undercover police sting will spend four years on probation. Gregory Gensch was in a Columbia County courtroom yesterday for a preliminary hearing. He waived his right to the hearing and subsequently entered a “no contest” plea at arraignment to one count of felony Child Enticement. A Fall River Police officer posed as a 13-year-old girl in April, posting an online ad on the website Doublelist seeking to be “educated.” Gensch engaged the officer in conversation, warning her that there are a lot of freaks out there and to be careful. The officer, posing as the teen, said she had been with older men before and asked what he was looking for. The 49-year-old said he was looking for “sex” and arranged to meet her at a Fall River park, where officers were waiting for him. A 90-day jail sentence was imposed and stayed. Gensch does have to submit a DNA sample and comply with sex offender registration requirements but does not have to register as a lifelong offender.
