Beaver Dam Man Charged With Repeated Sexual Assault Of A Child

(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam man charged with repeatedly assaulting a minor made his initial appearance in court Tuesday. Andrew Wallace is facing felony counts of Repeated Sexual Assault of a Child as well as Strangulation and Suffocation.

Wallace meet the victim in 2020 when she was 13 years old. Between the ages of 14 and just before she turned 16, Wallace allegedly made inappropriate contact with the victim multiple times.

According to the complaint, the victim also detailed physical abuse she endured while with Wallace. He reportedly slapped and kicked her and in one instance choked the victim for five to 10 seconds. Wallace allegedly told law enforcement he did this because he was having trust issues.

If convicted, the 21-year-old faces up to 66 years in prison. Cash bond was set at $2,500 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 5th.
