7/20/17 – A Beaver Dam man entered a not guilty plea at arraignment yesterday to charges of seventh offense Operating While Intoxicated. Randall Quiring was arrested June 24 for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana after crashing into a parked van on Wayland Street in Beaver Dam. According to the criminal complaint, the 52-year-old swerved to avoid hitting a cat before hitting a construction sign and then an AT&T van. Quiring reportedly admitted to smoking marijuana and drinking two or three 16-ounce beers before the crash. His blood alcohol level was approximately two-and-a-half-times the legal limit for driving at point-two-zero (.20). Quiring was first arrested for OWI in 1989 with his most recent conviction in 2009.
