(Beaver Dam) Cash bond was set Monday at $150-thousand-dollars for a Beaver Dam man accused of shooting another person in the foot. Lynell Lacy is facing felony counts of Second-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Armed Robbery, and Aggravated Battery as well as misdemeanor charges of Intentionally Pointing a Firearm at a Person and Carry a Concealed Weapon.
Beaver Dam police were dispatched to the Lakecrest Apartments Friday, February 18th, around 8pm for a report of shots fired. Moments later, 911 received a call from someone saying they were shot in the foot and were heading to the hospital. Information authorities received from the caller lead them to reportedly identify Lacy as the shooter, a resident in the same apartment building.
The victim reportedly told law enforcement that Lacy was upset with him over a perceived encounter with his girlfriend. Lacy allegedly approached the victim, held the gun to his head, demanded any money he had, shot him in the foot, then drove away. Lacy was located on Kellom Road and was taken into custody.
If convicted, the 28-year-old faces up to 43-and-a-half years behind bars. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 3rd.
