The Beaver Dam High School girls basketball team has a new coach and many new faces this season. Long-time area coach TJ Julka was hired as the Golden Beavers new head coach this summer, leading a team that graduated a solid senior class that helped them reach the WIAA Division Two Sectional Final last season.
The Golden Beavers return a pair of players that earned All-Badger Large recognition as sophomore’s last season. Nataya Donaldson was a first team selection while Sheamarie Ashley earned Honorable Mention All-Conference honors in 2023-24. Donaldson was also named Honorable Mention All-State and has an NCAA Division One offer from Milwaukee.
Coach Julka’s program has 21 total players this season, including just one senior in Jaelynn Drzonek. They have seven juniors, seven sophomores and six freshman.
Beaver Dam opens their season this weekend as they host the annual Beaver Dam Classic. The Golden Beavers will face Aquinas on Friday night at 7pm and then face Milwaukee Academy of Science on Saturday at 5pm. You can watch Friday’s game on DailyDodge TV and also hear it on 1430 ESPN Beaver Dam. Saturday’s game will be exclusively on DailyDodge TV.
