Beaver Dam Council Approves Acceptance Of Project Lifesaver Donation

(Juneau) The Beaver Dam Common Council this week approved the acceptance of a donation for Project Lifesaver. The Beaver Dam Police Department is among the local agencies offering the program that locates missing persons.

Project LifeSaver works with local search and rescue units to monitor individuals with a tendency to wander, perhaps due to cognitive conditions such as autism, dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Down syndrome. The $2,000 donation comes from the Dementia Concerns Coalition, a group whose focus is on the quality of life for people impacted by dementia.

The all-volunteer organization announced recently that it would be disbanding after serving the community for over 20 years. The group also recently donated a check for $10,000 to the Dodge County Project Lifesaver program. The Dementia Concerns Coalition helped bring Project Lifesaver to the region.
