(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam-based contractor was recently recognized for their work. WDS Construction – which serves 48 states and develops, manages, and constructs commercial buildings – received two Project of Distinction Awards.
ABC of Wisconsin’s Project of Distinction Awards recognize quality, safety, and execution in construction projects. WDS Construction’s work on Coastland Center in Naples, Florida, and the House of Sport in Victor, New York, earned silver and gold recognition this year respectively.
WDS demolished a retail store and auto center to redevelop the site into a CMX Cine-bistro and future build out space at Coastland Center. In New York, WDS dealt with skilled trade and supply shortages, scheduling changes, and virtual inspections as they constructed the 120-thousand square foot Dick’s Spring Goods’ House of Sport concept.
WDS received their awards during the Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin annual banquet held on January 27th at the Ingleside Hotel in Pewaukee.
