Beaver Dam Chamber Of Commerce Held Annual Economic Update Luncheon Thursday

(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce hosted its 2024 Economic Update Luncheon Thursday. Speakers included Wisconsin Department of Revenue Chief Economist John Koskinen who  

โ€œWe are the second most manufacturing intensive state in the country… We actually have more people working in manufacturing than we have people employed in government. Grand total of two states can say that. We are one of them.โ€ 

Beaver Dam Unified School District Superintendent Mark DiStefano gave his state of the school district report. 

โ€œWe feel like weโ€™re providing an outstanding service. We feel like weโ€™re making great investments in our staff and our students. And weโ€™re working really, really hard to make sure that the gifts weโ€™re given through our taxpayers are invested wisely.โ€ 

Dodge County Community Development Administrator Nathan Olson shared the state of the county followed by Beaver Dam City Administrator Nathan Thiel speaking on employment, housing, taxes, and site development, TID 10.  

Thursdayโ€™s Economic Update Luncheon was held at Springbrook Events in Burnett.
