(Beaver Dam) The first of two annual bulk garbage pick-up for Beaver Dam residents is scheduled for Monday. Public works officials say bulk pick-up will begin Monday, May 1st and continue through Friday, May 5th for citizens who receive city-provided waste collection services.
Bulk waste should be placed on the curb no sooner than 24 hours prior to each collection and by 7am on the day of pick-up. Bulk waste is defined as, but not limited to, furniture, mattresses, box springs, carpet, countertops, doors and windows. Appliances, tires, batteries, or any electronic items will not be picked-up.
There are two opportunities per month to dispose of bulk waste, building materials, and excess garbage at the city’s drop-off site. This service is available year-round on the first Wednesday of each month from 4pm to 7pm and on the third Saturday from 8am to 12 noon. The truck for this drop-off is located at the intersection of Myrtle Road and Beltline Drive.
No waste is accepted from non-city residents or from contractors. Violators are subject to municipal citations. The next curbside bulk pick-up will be in October.
