(Beaver Dam) City of Beaver Dam residents who receive city provided solid waste collection services are being reminded of upcoming curbside bulk waste collection. Beginning the first week of May, residents will be able to put bulk trash items out by the curb alongside their regular trash to be collected by the city. Starting Monday May 3rd and continuing on through Friday May 7th, bulk trash items should be placed on the curb by 7AM but no more than 24 hours prior to pick up. Plastic, cardboard, and metal should be included with regular recyclables, and will not be collected. Lumber or other building materials should be cut up and included with regular weekly garbage collection and not included as part of this bulk pick up. The Department of Public Works warns that leaving these materials on the curb could result in citations.
Residents who miss the bulk waste disposal dates can still take advantage of the cities twice monthly bulk disposal drop off truck available on the first Wednesday of each month from 4PM till 7PM and the third Saturday of the month from 8AM till Noon, located at the intersection of Myrtle Road and Beltline Drive.
Waste will only be accepted from city residents. The next date scheduled dates for bulk waste collection will be the first week of October later this year. For more information visit the city website at www.cityofbeaverdam.org or call the Department of Public Works Garage at 887-4635.
