Beaver Dam Boys Golf Finishes Eighth at WIAA Division 1 Sectional

The Beaver Dam High School boys golf team placed eighth at the WIAA Division 1 Sectional held Wednesday at Rolling Meadows Golf Course in Fond du Lac.

The Golden Beavers posted a team score of 353, finishing 35 strokes behind Sectional champion Hartford, which won the event with a 318. Slinger secured the second and final state-qualifying spot with a 319, just one shot behind Hartford.

Sophomore Lukas Longseth led Beaver Dam with an 84, tying for 24th place individually. Senior Garrett Boettcher closed out his high school career with an 87, good for 34th place.

Rounding out the Golden Beavers lineup were sophomore Owen Statz (90, 40th place), sophomore James Bader (92, 43rd place), and freshman Jaxon Klodowski (100, 48th place).
