Beaver Dam Baseball Wins Regional Title

The Beaver Dam baseball team is heading back to the Sectionals after a 5-2 win over Sheboygan North in the WIAA Division One Regional Final on Thursday night at the BDHS Diamond.

The Golden Raiders scored an unearned run in the top of the 3rd but the Golden Beavers rallied for a four spot in the bottom of the frame and never looked back.   After back to back walks to Bradyn Strachota and Jake Julka, Jeff Freund singled home Strachota.  Boston Damon then singled scoring Julka with Freund being thrown out at the dish.  Damon scored on an Eli Bryant single and a Daelen Johnson sac fly plated the fourth run of the frame.  BDHS added a run in the 5th when Kyler Keel walked with the bases loaded.  North added a single run in the top of the 6th to round out the scoring,

Eli Bryant gave up just two hits and two runs and struck out nine in six innings to earn the win.  Johnson pitched a 1-2-3 7th to pick up the save.

Beaver Dam advances to the Sectional Semifinals next Tuesday when they face Manitowoc at 10am at EJ Schneider Field on the campus of Oshkosh North.  You can hear that game on 1430 ESPN and watch it on DailyDodge TV.
