Beaver Dam Baseball Ready To Take The Field

The Beaver Dam High School baseball team is gearing up for their 2022 campaign.  The Golden Beavers went 10-8 overall in 2021 and 7-7 in the Badger North in a season that saw them lose 17 days do to COVID.

The Golden Beavers return a pair of 2nd Team All-Badger North players in 2022 in Daelen Johnson (P/U) and Logan Thomas (P/OF).   Alex Soto (P/IF) was also an Honorable Mention All-Badger North pick in 2021.   Along with Johnson, Thomas, and Soto, Nate Tisdale also saw time on the mound for head coach Nate Wilke last season.   Beaver Dam also returns Jacob Stinemates (OF), Ben Scharfenberger (IF), and Evan Sharkey (OF) in 2022.   The Golden Beavers also have some younger talent that is itching to earn spots on the lineup card.

“I think the big thing is our pitching depth.” Coach Nake Wilke told DailyDodge.com. “I think of the rotation is good, but you have to have a lot more than two pitchers to be successful. I think defensively the way we’ve looked so far we have a lot of talent.  Hitting, I think we are going to hit well, so I think it does kind of come down to where’s our pitching depth at.”

The Baseball Wisconsin Yearbook picked the Golden Beavers 5th in the Badger North with Milton as their preseason favorite.
