The Beaver Dam baseball team blanked Sheboygan North 8-0 Wednesday afternoon in a WIAA Division One Regional Semifinal at the BDHS Diamond. The game was scoreless through the first three frames before the Golden Beavers put up four runs in the bottom of the frame with the help of three Golden Raider errors. BD added a single run in the 5th and three more in the 6th.
Ashtyn Seifert struck out 11 and threw six and two thirds hitless innings before giving up a pair of hits in the final two frames to earn the complete game shutout. Jeff Freund tripled and drove in a pair to lead the Golden Beaver offense.
Freund also set the program record for hits in a single season with 38.
