(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Police Department is warning area residents about a gift card scam making the rounds. The agency says they have now had three incidents where a blonde woman with a roughly eight-year-old child were selling Kwik Trip gift cards for $20.
The woman stated that they were for a baseball fundraiser. However, when the patron took the gift cards to use them there was no monetary value. Officials with the department ask the public to be aware of fundraiser and charity scams.
They add that the baseball teams within the Beaver Dam community are not currently selling Kwik Trip cards at this time.
