BDHS Student Groups Join Forces For United Way

(Beaver Dam) Five service clubs from the Beaver Dam High School are banding together for the first time to support their local community. Members from the FFA, the National Honor Society, Student Council, DECA and the Beaver Dam Key Club are working together on the fundraising event. Alexis Luedtke, who represents the National Honor Society, says they are putting together a spaghetti dinner called Pasta with a Purpose. She says the goal is to raise money to give back to the area. All proceeds from the dinner will go to the United Way, which will distribute the money in the Beaver Dam area. Key Club member Akshay Kalra told us on WBEV’s Community Comment that the fundraiser is a great way to bring people together. He says this is a unique opportunity for school and community unity. Pasta with a Purpose will take place Tuesday from 5pm to 7:30pm at the high school cafeteria. The cost for the meal is $5 dollars. There will also be a silent auction.
