(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Fire Department’s new training facility is up and running. Fire Chief Michael Wesle says there is just some minor cosmetic work to finish, that includes grading and leveling a few areas surrounding the facility. He says they recently completed their “burn in” for the structure.
“So basically we have a representative from the manufacturer here and we go through the burn sequences…what you can and cannot do and then we send all of our instructors through,” says Wesle.
The new training facility is located in the 600 block of South Center Street. The building was manufactured in Illinois, where American Fire Training Systems is based. The company designs and constructs fire training towers for departments and military installations around the world.
