BEAVER DAM – The Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre is bringing Bright Star to the stage this week.
BDACT says the musical opens Thursday, June 18, at Kamps Auditorium and runs through June 28. The production is part of BDACT’s area high school series and features performers from 11 school districts.
The show is written by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell. BDACT describes Bright Star as inspired by a true story and set in the American South during the 1920s and 1940s. The story follows Alice Murphy, a literary editor whose meeting with a young World War Two veteran brings back memories from her past.
