(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Area Community Foundation is still taking applications for the first of its two annual grant cycles. Foundation President Tom Heffron says Dodge County nonprofits seeking funding for impactful work within the community are encouraged to apply.
“The vast majority [of the nonprofits] are located in Dodge County but we also have some that their offices could be in Watertown, or could be in Columbus, or…Fond du Lac but they are serving Dodge County,” says Heffron. “But as long as they are a 501c3 nonprofit…serving Dodge County…they are eligible to apply.”
Heffron says nonprofits can request funding between $500 and $2,500. The application window is open through March 3rd.
Foundation officials say they prioritizes grant applications that offer practical solutions to community problems, promote cooperation among agencies, encourage participating in problem-solving initiatives, foster volunteer involvement, and strengthen an agency’s effectiveness or long-term stability.
