BD High School Bowling Team Competes At Oconomowoc

The Beaver Dam bowling teams resumed their seasons Sunday at Mapleway Bowl in Oconomowoc. The day proved to be tough for both teams.

The Beaver Boys remain perfect on the season despite less than ideal lane conditions. Senior Tyler Bender led the way in the first match with just 4 open frames for his breakout performance of the year against a Columbus based co-op team. After an 0-2 hole the Beavers dug out for a 5-4 match win on a nasty pair of lanes. Switching lanes for match 2 vs. Oconomowoc the Beavers took 3 out of the first 4 games to win the match 5-4. They are now tied for the district lead with Watertown, who they will see at home next week at Tower Lanes for the first time this season.

The Beaver Girls began the day versus the Watertown Girls in a District 6 favorite rivalry. Unable to get things going the right way the Beavers fell to Watertown Girls 3-6. The girls then moved to the brutal pair of lanes the boys finished on knowing it was going to be a tough match against the Lomira girls. Down in a 1-3 game hole, the Beavers climbed back to take the lead 4-3. Falling the last two games the Beaver Girls drop to 0-6 on the season and 0-2 in the District 6 Girls division.

Both teams will continue play at home on December 8th at Tower Lanes with a 10am start time. Come out and show your support of our hometown bowlers! Go Beavers!!
