BD High School Bowling Team Competes At Lake Mills

The Beaver Dam High School Bowling teams were in action Sunday at Hering’s Fish Bowl in Lake Mills.

The Beaver Boys continued their pursuit of perfection routing Mayville and Oakfield on the day. The boys struggled with ball reaction all day but were able to come out victorious, sitting atop the District 6 standings with a 6-0 record. Leading the Beavers was Senior Garrett Boettcher with 22 recordable strikes and just 3 open frames. Boettcher’s performance boosted him to number 5 in the district’s individual standings.

The Beaver girls fell to 2-4 on the season, just 1 game behind District 6 Girls division leader, Watertown. Match 1 was a tough 4-5 loss versus a Lakeside Lutheran team who pre-bowled the match, a questionable tactic allowed by district play. Senior Brianna Klimek (Fall River HS) led the girls with 14 strikes on the day. Junior Kamryn Albert added 12 strikes. Albert began the day on top the District 6 Girls individual standings and narrowly fell to the 3 spot after competition completed.

After a break for the Thanksgiving holiday, competition for both teams resume on Sunday December 7th. The Boys will roll at Mapleway Bowl in Oconomowoc and the Girls will be at Klicka’s Rock n’ Bowl in Jefferson.
