The Beaver Dam Wildfire 10U girls hockey team won the state championships with three wins over the weekend in River Falls.
The Wildfire took care of Hayward 8-1 in their tournament opener. Macy Damon led the way with four goals, while Brenna Rhodes (3) and Zoe Ruis (1) also found the back of the net. Hailey Lahtrop tallied four saves.
In the semifinals the Wildfire blew by Sauk Prairie 10-4 with Brenna Rhodes scoring seven goals. Ameila Johnson, Zoe Ruis and Addiysin Mueller also scored in the win. Lathrop registered 15 saves.
In the championship game, the Wildfire took down the Fox Valley Freeze 10-3 with Rhodes scoring 5 goals, Damon 4 and Ruis 2.
The U10 Wildfire’s roster included: Katelyn Annocque, Marison Damon, Haley Lahtrop, Piper Johnson, Olivia Stephens, Addisyn Mueller, Emalynn Annocque, Brenna Rhodes, Zoe Ruis, Serena Domingez, Amelia Johnson, and Paige Tratar.
