Auxiliary Officer Recognized By Beaver Dam Police

(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam Auxiliary Police Officer was recognized this week for 40 years of service. Police Chief John Kreuziger told the Police and Fire Commission this week about the dedication that Dennis Wichinski (right) has demonstrated over his years of service to the community. Kreuziger says the dedication of auxiliary officers like Wichinski directly helps the patrol division. The primary duty of auxiliary officers is to augment and supplement the police department, mostly serving as a law enforcement presence at community events. That includes parades, park patrol, high school sporting events and dances, Beaver Dam Lake Days, Nancy’s Notions Sewing Weekend, the county fair, the craft fair performing duties including parking, light security and crowd control.
