(Green Lake) Authorities have identified the person killed in a three-vehicle accident in Green Lake County last week Friday. Deputies were dispatched to State Highway 23 and Saint Marie Road in the Town of Brooklyn just after 6:30am. The preliminary investigating indicates that a Sports Utility Vehicle, driven by 18-year-old Carter Hahn of Ripon, was westbound on State Highway 23 when it drifted into the eastbound lane. Hahn’s SUV clipped the rear of a semi-tractor trailer, operated by 64-year-old Thomas Schuster of Ripon, before striking an eastbound sedan. The lone occupant of the sedan, 22-year-old Quintin Herdt of Green Lake, was dead before emergency officials arrived on scene. Schuster was not injured and Hahn suffered minor injuries but was not transported. The incident is being investigated by the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the Wisconsin State Patrol.
