(Beaver Dam) An arraignment hearing for the man accused of kidnapping a pregnant teen from Beaver Dam has been rescheduled. Gary Day was slated to be in court Tuesday, but his hearing has been moved to July 15th.
Day is facing multiple felonies including Abduction of a Child and Child Enticement. Law enforcement officials say Day and the 17-year-old victim met online last year.
In February, an Amber Alert was issued after the 40-year-old reportedly kidnapped the teen from her Beaver Dam home. They were found on April 2nd near Omaha, Nebraska.
Authorities say Day is the father of the girl’s unborn child. If convicted, Day faces up to 80 years in prison.
