American Legion Of Wisconsin Celebrating 104th Annual Convention

(Wisconsin) The American Legion of Wisconsin is kicking off its 104th Annual Department convention Wednesday. The five-day event in Rothschild will see a number of different guest speakers share a few words and organizers will hand out several awards.

Speakers include DAV Commander Rob Hilliard, Brigadier General David May, and Governor Tony Evers. District Caucuses will also take place at the convention where Posts from across the state will hear about resolutions, receive awards, and vote for the 2023-2024 leadership.

Attendees will gather for a Legion Family Memorial Service followed by the installation of Department officers on Sunday, July 23rd. The weekend will culminate with the post-convention Department Executive Committee meeting. The event is held at the Central Wisconsin Convention and Expo Center in Rothschild.

The American Legion was established in 1919 by wartime veterans determined to strengthen the nation through programs and services for men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces, veterans, children and patriotic values.
