(Friesland) Alsum Farms and Produce recently introduced a new high school senior scholarship program. The program will award 10 $1,000 dollar scholarships to deserving students to further their education level and invest in the future of agriculture.
Graduating high school seniors who have an agricultural or rural background, or plan to major in an agricultural-related field at a community college, university, or technical school are encouraged to between now and March 31.
Each recipient will receive $1,000 dollars for educational tuition purposes. Qualified applicants must be graduating seniors who live in the Alsum Farms and Produce growing or packing region.
Recipients will be selected based on a combination of academic achievement, agricultural, community and youth organization involvement, and essays.
All applications must be submitted through the online platform. No email or paper copies will be accepted. The deadline to apply is March 31.
