(Dodge County) Alliant Energy has been recognized by VETS Indexes for the 2nd consecutive year. The award recognizes the organization’s commitment to recruiting, hiring, retaining, developing, and supporting veterans and the military-connected community.
Alliant Energy works proactively to pair veteran candidates with available career opportunities. They support the development of former military members through an employee-driven Veterans Alliance resource group. Many veterans in the craft trades have benefited from the large amount of local construction jobs and new training opportunities that have been spurred by the company’s recent energy investments.
The VETS Indexes survey and recognition program analyzes employers’ policies, practices, and outcomes across five categories. These categories are veteran job candidate recruiting and hiring, veteran employee development and retention, veteran-inclusive policies and culture, support for members of the National Guard and Reserves, and military spouse/family support.
George Altman, the president of VETS Indexes, congratulated Alliant on this achievement. He said, “Even with hundreds of employers in the running, Alliant Energy demonstrated a strong dedication to veteran employment.” For more information, visit the VETS Indexes website by clicking HERE.
