Alcohol Factor In Highway 151 Crash That Kills Two, Seriously Injures Third

(Fond du Lac) Two people were killed in a single vehicle crash early Saturday morning on Highway 151 in Fond du Lac County. Authorities were dispatched at 2:23am to an area near County Highway WH.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered a northbound vehicle had left the roadway and struck a tree. Two occupants were dead; a 41-year-old male and a 34-year-old female. A 37-year-old male sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to a hospital. All of the occupants of the vehicle were from Fond du Lac.

Authorities say the preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol and speed were contributing factors to the crash. Highway 151 was closed for approximately six hours.

The crash continues to be under investigation. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene were the Wisconsin State Patrol, Calumet Fire Department and First Responders and the Mount Calvary Ambulance, First Responders, and Fire Department.
