(Fond du Lac) Agnesian HealthCare and the Monroe Clinic are now part of SSM Health. The Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes and SSM Health officials announced the completion of the transfer Thursday morning at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. Damond Boatwright is the Regional President of Operations for SSM Health of Wisconsin. He says employees at Agnesian hospitals and clinics will retain their jobs. He says the integration is meant to enhance the overall care delivery in both organizations. Agnesian’s hospitals in Fond du Lac, Ripon and Waupun will keep their names under SSM Health and carry the infinity logo. Steve Little the President and CEO of Agnesian HealthCare says they were looking to join an organization similar to their own and he believes they have. He is looking forward to the additional services SSM Health will be able to bring through specialties and enhanced physician participation. The Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes has played a role in the areas health care for over 120 years and will continue to do so. Some of their members will serve on the board of directors at system and regional levels.
